Jewish Literacy Project
The Jewish Literacy Project brings together selected programs from the collection that offer particularly valuable educational resources for individuals, students and educators.
We have organized the programs into four groups: Judaism, History, Israel and Hebrew. Click on these links, to the left, to access the program collections.
The JLP collection is a departure from our other efforts which simply catalog available materials without regard to their educational content. The materials presented here are "selected" and will change over time as new programs become available and as we refine our selection processes. The available programs demonstrate both the wealth of educational resources as well as the many areas needing improvement.
We very readily acknowledge that "we" do not know precisely what should be in this collection and that there are many and varying opinions on this issue. We will employ an inclusive definition and trust that users with varying perspectives will exercise appropriate judgment for themselves.
